Dale from Libby, MT
I use the product to smoke briskets, ribs, chicken, and fish.
I like its ease of use and reliability. It is also reasonably portable. Having two grills is helpful when smoking foods with different cooking times.
I wish it had a thermometer to indicate the temperature inside the smoker since it's difficult to estimate cooking times in the colder weather. I've used a meat thermometer to gauge the how done the meats are, but this can be unreliable in the colder weather.
At what outside temperature should I expect the smoker to be unable to maintain a sufficient temperature to completely cook the meats?

Hot Little Chili Mama from Albuquerque, NM
This little grill will surprise you with the great flavor your meat will taste like you went to your local steak restaurant. For the average user you can't miss you'll want to grill again and again. However, the drawback is; most people do not like waiting on charcoal to get going. The average user would rather have a $600.00 stainless steel gas burner grill that never really cures in due time. Why waste a good piece of meat to GAS!.. Cave men had no gas. The Iron grates will cure as you grill also, the iron grates sear your meat, cooks evenly so that most of the entire flavor comes from your fire. If you love the way your meat tastes, try fruit and vegies on the grill. Yes, I did say, FRUIT!
My husband and I are great fans of the fire we grill & smoke often (every week) should I just say, year round. The only time we use gas is for our gas heater to keep us warm as we grill or smoke meat during the winter.
So get your stainless steel gas grill out, clean it up place it on Craig's list to sell. Now buy your new Char Griller, you'll still have money left over to buy a great hunk of meat. Once you decide to use fire you'll wonder, "What was up with the gas thing any way?"...

Grilling in PR from San Juan, Puerto Rico
I live in the Caribbean, so use the grill year round and often. I've had the Smoker Pro for 5 yrs. now, and it is not rusted. Take good care of the CI grates by oiling them (vegetable oil works fine) after cleaning. Smoker box has a small cooking grate and can be used if you only have to grill for 1-2 people. The larger grill is divided into 4 removable grates, so using 1/2 the grill, and loading more charcoal is very easy to do. Dumping the ashes from the main grill and the side box is a snap, as the charcoal bases are removable. Smoking is easy, and heat control is also fairly simple. Highly recommed this grill. 5 yrs. ago I paid $200.00 new, and though it wouldn't last, because it was inexpensive; [...]assemble this.

SHAKER from DAYTONA BEACH. FL
I bought this Smoker/Grill 12/08.The best feature of this product is a Bowl above the charcoal that you can fill w/water to keep meat moist and Jucy!!Most smokers don't come with this and the meat dry's out.Product has 2 levels to cook on each of which holds 25lbs of meat.I've smoked on it 15 times and grilled on it 10, and each time my neighbors seem to suddenly show up!!!
