Comments about Brinkmann Black Gourmet Charcoal Smoker & Grill:

I use this smoker to do it all. Pork, beef, chicken, turkey, deer and fish. It's a very capable smoker. I can pack a lot of meat in this unit. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star rating is due to the lack of easy access the meat on the grill closest to the heat source. If you pack it full like I do, you have to take all the meat off the top rack to get to the stuff on the bottom. You've got to put the faster cooking cuts of meat on top so you don't have this problem. But, if you like to mop your meat while it cooks it can be a bit tricky. Although your bottom rack gets the drippings from the top rack, so it kind of bastes itself. The grill itself is very durable, but the coating on mine is half gone. I'm constantly cooking with it though, so I guess it's understandable that I baked the paint right off of her. I would recomend this unit to anybody that wants a good low cost smoker. It's a great way to get into the art of smoking meats. I'm building a pit in the springtime, but I'll still use this one for camping trips. I love it!
