I live in the Caribbean, so use the grill year round and often. I've had the Smoker Pro for 5 yrs. now, and it is not rusted. Take good care of the CI grates by oiling them (vegetable oil works fine) after cleaning. Smoker box has a small cooking grate and can be used if you only have to grill for 1-2 people. The larger grill is divided into 4 removable grates, so using 1/2 the grill, and loading more charcoal is very easy to do. Dumping the ashes from the main grill and the side box is a snap, as the charcoal bases are removable. Smoking is easy, and heat control is also fairly simple. Highly recommed this grill. 5 yrs. ago I paid $200.00 new, and though it wouldn't last, because it was inexpensive; [...]assemble this.

Very large grilling area. You could smoke a whole cow. I smoked a Butt, Brisket, and 2 Chickens the first time out and only used half the grilling surface. The temp was a little hard to control, the main area was hard to get up to the temp I wanted but made a few adjustments and got it to where I wanted it. I suggest filling all the extra holes for attachments that are not used with nuts and bolts to make controlling the Temp easier. Clean up was easy and fast. The meat itself was very tender and tasty and after a few more times I will have worked all the kinks out and expect the meat will be just the way I want it. It was really close the very first time. Used a lot of wood chips due to the extreme heat in the firebox and would advise large chunks of wood. All in all a great purchase for my needs. The 70 people at my office that I treated had no complaints!

Have years of experience on grill but none on smoking. Read several websites on a staurday and decided to go with this offset model. Using lump charcoal and hickory chunk wood unsoaked, we had an awesome first smoke on this grill. Quickly figured out the temp management and cant wait until I have time to fire it up again!

Nothing better than smoking ribs for about 7 hours, they fall off of the bone. All of my neighbors want to know what I am cooking. I love this smoker.

I use this for making Bar-B-Que. I use Pork, Boston Butt. It tastes as good as the best. Good for smoking Turkey. Smoke them about two hours and finish them in the oven where most people cook turkeys. GOOD smoked Turkeys. Try it! The grill is large, very large. It works good too.

This grill is just what the Dr. ordered. I have been a Weber charcoal fan for years, but I made the step up to wood-fire. We have black oak in NorCal and that is some amazing taste! Great heat and with the separate firebox I can get the perfect mix of slow-cooking heat and smoke.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. We grill year-round about 4 to 5 times a week. This BBq has been put thru everything. From our weekly family dinners for 6 or turkey at Thanksgiving for 35. We love this grill.
